They make air beds now that are more geared towards children these days. I've heard that having them pee into a coffee can works at first because of the noise it makes.  Then transition them to the toilet. Good luck with the potty training thing.  My girlie has been doing pretty good. As long as I don't put a diaper or pull up on, she will go by herself.  Those darned pull ups are just a crutch.
