I woke up this morning and after I nursed my son I headed to the gym before having to dial into work. When I stepped out of the house I had this eerie feeling. There was no wind, no birds, no squirrels, none of the neighbors were out. It was so quiet....too quiet. The weather was ok, there was a bit of stickiness hanging in the air. It was around 8 am. While I drove I continued to notice that not a soul was around I didn't see any cars on my way out of the neighborhood. No life signs whatsoever. As I got on the highway I was the only car. Eight am is a busy time, there is no way I should have been the only car. As I pulled into the gym there was probably about 30 cars in the parking lot but when I walked in there was no one there to check my id badge. So I just walked over the elliptical machine to start my workout. The TVs where on and the music was playing but again not a single soul. After about twenty minutes into my workout I looked out the front door. The sky went black and there was this awful high pitched noise and I started to feel my heart pound with fear.


Then I woke up.
